A dark and twisted comedy focusing on one eventful day in the life of two drug addicts. Adam and Paul have been inseparable ever since their childhood, and even now when they are both heroin addicts. One chilly winter morning, Adam and Paul wake up in the middle of a meadow at the edge of Dublin. In dire need of a fix and totally broke, the pair start for the city, where they will try to get hold of some money in a series of tragicomic adventures. In their failed robbery attempts, they only manage to get a loaf of bread and a carton of milk. The film gained success with both critics and audience, and won the IFTA Award for Best Film Director. Lenny Abrahamson is best known for his feature Room, which earned Brie Larsen an Oscar and a Golden Globe for best actress in a leading role.
