Chubby is a plump, happy-go-lucky boy who lives with his parents in the cozy and friendly town of Roundville. But his life is about to change when the family moves to the health-obsessed Thinhaven to open a restaurant. Thinhaven is the exact opposite of Roundville – nobody is friendly or podgy. All the residents are slender fitness freaks preoccupied with their appearance. The last thing in the world they need is a gourmet restaurant with tempting, calorie-laden food. Chubby has trouble fitting in and for the first time becomes aware of his weight. To add fuel to the fire, he falls in love with the thinnest girl in town. The film has won the Golden Film Award, which is awarded to films that have sold over 100,000 tickets.
