Free Screening of The Young Pope at Tony Grisoni’s Masterclass

The Industry section on Saturday features a special event – a masterclass with Tony Grisoni, one of the writers of HBO’s popular series The Young Pope, with a screening of the first two episodes before the masterclass, at 1pm. The masterclass is scheduled for 3pm and admission to F22 – New Academic Scene at 22 Frankopanska Street is free.

This hit series was directed by Paolo Sorrentino, the director of Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA and EFA-winning The Great Beauty, starring Jude Law and Diane Keaton.

We remember Grisoni also as a co-writer of several Monty Python’s Terry Gilliam films, including the iconic Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

The age we live in is the golden age of television. Television production that gained momentum in the early 2000s in US and Europe is not fading, and Tony Grisoni is here to share the experiences from more than 25 years of career, with a special focus on television screenwriting.
