Eighty-year-old Marija from Vukovar is stunned when her son Luka, who went missing during the war thirty years ago, suddenly appears at her door. Luka still looks twenty, just as he did the day she last saw him. After the initial shock, Marija comes to accept the impossible return.

Jozo Schmuch (Dubrovnik, 1993) is a director of documentary and short fiction films, among which are the documentaries Every Day a New Mustang Is Born (2018) and Hotel Mama (2021), screened in the regional competition of ZagrebDox. He also directed the short fiction films Women of My Age (2019) and Severina’s Dog (2024). He is currently developing his first feature film.
