Ben has just hit puberty and his body is already causing him problems. More precisely, it’s his weight. Other kids bully him, and his divorced parents are at a loss. Even the school nurse is worried. Although Ben loves almost nothing as much as fine food, he decides to go on a diet. This sweet and funny coming-of-age animated feature tackles childhood obesity in a gentle and layered way, while successfully avoiding the pitfalls of stereotypes. It arrives in Zagreb from the prestigious world festivals in Locarno, Karlovy Vary and Annecy. What’s it like growing up when everyone calls you fat? And is diet really the answer to everything?
