Museum of Contemporary Art

Almost a decade and a half since its opening in the new location bridging the old part of town and Novi Zagreb, MSU has become one of the symbols of the city, a prominent place for artistic encounters, interaction and creative gatherings. In addition to the permanent exhibit displaying some of the 12,000 works by domestic and foreign artists housed in the Museum’s collection, the MSU also organises temporary exhibitions, concerts, lectures, panels and similar events, while the Gorgona Hall regularly hosts a film program, screening films from the current cinema repertoire. A special feature of the building, designed by architect Igor Franić, is the 90-metre-long LED screen, the so-called media façade, used to project the artists’ video works. This year, MSU will host screenings of films in the programs Together Again, Network of Festivals in the Adriatic Region, Great 5, KinoKino, and PLUS.
