European Film Awards 2026 Ceremony – Live Stream

The 38th European Film Awards will take place this Saturday, 17 January, at the headquarters of the European Film Academy in Berlin. Often referred to as the European equivalent of the Oscars, the European Film Awards are the most prestigious film honours on the continent, with the European Film Academy (EFA) celebrating excellence in European cinema each year.
The live broadcast of the awards ceremony will be available to watch on Saturday, 17 January from 18:00 CET via the video below.
More than 5,000 members of the European Film Academy, representing filmmakers from across Europe, voted for this year’s winners. The ceremony will honour the achievements of European cinema.
This year’s awards are particularly exciting as the nominees for Best European Film and Best European Documentary include Fiume o morte!, a documentary-fiction film by Rijeka-based director Igor Bezinović. The European Discovery – Prix FIPRESCI 2026 nomination also includes the Slovenian film Little Trouble Girls by Urška Djukić, a Croatian co-production.
