When a dangerous rumour forces them to flee Iran, wrestler Iman (Payman Maadi \u2013\u00a0A Separation<\/em>,\u00a0About Elly<\/em>) and his family come to Sweden seeking asylum. In order to increase their chances of staying, Iman restarts his wrestling career in Sweden, but the rumours that they tried to escape from soon resurface.\u00a0Opponent<\/em>\u00a0premiered at this year\u2019s Berlinale, and was selected as Sweden\u2019s Oscar candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
