Nina loves making up stories and dreams of becoming a writer. But her brother Junior, a clumsy magician, finds her stories unbearably boring. On top of that, her widowed father has fallen in love again, bringing a new person into their lives. With the help of her neighbour, a writer, Nina uses storytelling to come to terms with the loss of her mother and open her heart to a new family member – and to her first love. Suddenly, she realizes that her own life is turning into a novel…

Nóra Lakos

Nóra Lakos is a film director, writer, producer and the founder of Cinemira – International Children’s Film Festival in Budapest. She graduated in film directing from the University of Theatre and Film in Budapest and also took courses in film directing at London Film School and at INSAS in Brussels. She received a Special Mention in the Sarajevo City of Film project and British Council Short Film Award for her short film Edina.Her first debut feature film Cream (2020) won 8 awards.
