A comedy about a woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown, with the director Ivana Mladenović playing herself. This bittersweet fictional autobiography (Locarno – Special Jury Award) traces the intimate neuroses of an individual, family, and community, featuring appearances by the director’s friends and family. Ivana, a Serbian actress living in Romania, returns to her hometown to recover from a psychological crisis. She gets a celebrity welcome, but it doesn’t take long for the rumours to start.

The screening is taking place in collaboration with Dokukino KIC, in anticipation of director Ivana Mladenović's masterclass and the premiere of her latest film, Sorella di clausura.

Ivana Mladenović is a Serbian-Romanian filmmaker. Her documentary, Turn Off the Lights (2012), premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and won the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Documentary. Her feature debut, Soldiers (2017), premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, and with Ivana the Terrible (2019) she won the Cine+ Jury Award at Locarno and the Golden Pram at ZFF.
