Recommendations for Viewing in Croatian Sign Language

As part of its long-term sustainable development goals, the Zagreb Film Festival strives to integrate environmental, social, and organizational principles of sustainability into its program and activities. Since the key to any real change lies in the community, social engagement and inclusivity are of fundamental importance in ZFF’s Green Strategy.
For the second year in a row, ZFF is featuring a series of inclusive screenings with Arabic and Ukrainian subtitles as part of the intercultural project Welcome to ZFF! Starting this year, part of the festival’s informational content has also been adapted for deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences. The project, titled Inclusive Film, is the result of a collaboration with the association DLAN, Theatre, Audiovisual Arts and Culture of the Deaf, through which we present highlights of ten feature and short films from the program as special viewing recommendations.
The content was translated into Croatian Sign Language by Angel Naumovski, and the video recommendations can be found under the following films: I’m Glad You’re Dead Now (International Short Film program), DJ Ahmet (Main Program), Dog and Wolf (International Short Film Program), Wild Foxes (PLUS), Pillion (Main Program), Familia (The Great 5), If You Are Afraid You Put Your Heart Into Your Mouth And Smile (PLUS), My Father’s Shadow (Main Program), and Urchin (The Great 5).
