When he returns to the home of his estranged father Željko (Leon Lučev; The Load, ZFF 2018 – Golden Pram), Mislav will discover his father has not changed at all. In the harsh karst landscape of the Dalmatian hinterland – which seems to almost mirror his father’s character – the two will clash over the fate of a bull. Inspired by personal experience, Karst by Petar Vukičević (Sparina, ZFF 2020) is an evocative story about the necessity of breaking free from inherited patterns and finding one’s own path.

Petar Vukičević

Petar Vukičević (Split, 1995) is a Croatian director and writer. He holds a degree in film and television directing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. He began his filmmaking career as a member of the Cinema Club Split and Blank_Film Incubator. His student films have screened at numerous Croatian and international festivals (Sultriness, ZFF 2020), and several of his works have won awards and recognitions.
