Presenting current Finnish short films in one program is a challenging task, if we want to tell something about Finland and Finns. That’s why I simply chose the films I liked from our Finnish film competition program last year. And maybe this choice reveals something about Finland. Perhaps each of the films even gives an insight into the cinematic soul, into the core of our identity. Maybe it reveals the secret of why Finns are known as the happiest people in the world…
