What is audio description, who is it intended for and what exactly is its significance? The round table on the accessibility of audiovisual content will address the key issues related to the number and quality of audiovisual works adapted for visually impaired people in Croatia. The panel will touch upon the role of state institutions in ensuring equal access to cultural content for people with disabilities and the obstacles and difficulties that filmmakers and producers face in the preparation and distribution of content with audio description. The development of new technologies has led to progress in numerous areas – yet, what is its impact on the accessibility of adapted content? All of these and related topics will be discussed by the representatives of relevant bodies and the film community.
