Lucy is the head nurse on the pediatric ward of a hospital. When they receive the malnourished boy Adam, his mother Rebecca is issued a court order restricting her visits. But Rebecca refuses to leave her son, so Lucy finds herself in the role of a mediator between a desperate and inexperienced young mother, an unyielding social worker, and an impatient doctor. This exciting hospital drama premiered at the Cannes Critics' Week, where it drew comparisons to the films of the Dardenne brothers.
