Nikola used to make films and now he’s stuck making commercials. When he learns about the possibility of finally bringing home the remains of his grandmother, who was forced to flee from Croatia to Serbia during the war, he and his father embark on a journey from Belgrade to Dalmatia. On the way, he learns a lesson about parenting, family, and memories that are sometimes not real. How Come It's All Green Out Here? is a melancholic meditation on home, identity, and family. The new film by Nikola Ležaić, known as the director of Tilva Roš (2010), premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, and screened in Pula, where it won Golden Arenas for Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Cinematography in the minority co-production category.
