Teenager Álvaro feels like he doesn't belong anywhere. He doesn't want to study or work the land like his mother, but his options are limited. When he cries tears of blood during a village procession for the Virgin Mary, the villagers begin to shower him with offers of money in exchange for his blood, believing he possesses healing powers. Álvaro accepts the offer, but despite everything, he still feels the same.

Joaquín León (Spain, 1983) is a director, graphic designer, and music producer. He has been directing commercials and music videos since 2006. He began his music career in 2004 as a member of indie bands and currently produces electronic and film music. He was presented as one of the talents in the ICAA Talents Andalusia program at the Marché du Film in Cannes. He is the winner of the RTVE Versión Española First Prize for the short film Endless Heat (2022).
