In collaboration with Restart we present the masterclass by director Ivana Mladenović. In a conversation with the moderator Jelena Pašić, she will share how her directorial voice has taken shape, from her first documentary to her most recent works. The last three films, inspired by autobiographical books, manuscripts, and personal stories, explore the shift from reality into fiction. She discusses working with non-professional actors who often play themselves, giving voice to marginalized people, and blending fiction and reality in her cinematic practice. This year, as part of the Together Again program, ZFF’s audience will also have the chance to see her latest film — the uproarious sociosexual satire Sorella di Clausura, which premiered in Locarno and won the Best Director Award in Sarajevo.
In anticipation of the masterclass, on Friday, 7 November there will be a screening of the director’s 2019 film Ivana the Terrible at Dokukino KIC.
