Anamaria Antoci

Anamaria Antoci is a producer and a member of industry networks such as EAVE, ACE Producers, European Producers Club, and Inside Pictures. In 2017, she founded the Bucharest-based company Tangaj Production, committed to authentic, strong arthouse films. She has produced feature and documentary films, such as Cristi Puiu’s Malmkrog (2020), Men of Deeds (2022) by Paul Negoescu, and Things We Said Today by Andrei Ujică (2024). She has co-produced films like Working Class Goes to Hell by Mladen Đorđević (2023), Panopticon by George Sikharulidze (2024), and the latest film by Danis Tanović, My Late Summer (2024).

Sonja Baksa

Sonja Baksa is a short film programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival and feature film programmer for the Vancouver International Film Festival. She graduated in architecture from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, as well as in Film, Exhibition and Curation from the University of Edinburgh in 2016. Since then, she has actively collaborated with numerous international cultural organisations and film festivals.

Ninna Pálmadóttir

Ninna Pálmadóttir is an award-winning Icelandic filmmaker. She has an MFA in directing and screenwriting from the NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2019 and holds a BA in film studies and literature from the University of Iceland. Her short film Paperboy (2019) screened at festivals around the world. In 2020, she directed the Icelandic-Croatian short film All Dogs Die (ZFF 2020). Her feature debut, Solitude (2023), was written by the Icelandic director Rúnar Rúnarsson and screened in the main competition at ZFF.

David Gašo

David Gašo (Osijek, 2000) is a student of Film and TV Directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. He directed a number of short films, including the award-winning autobiographical hybrid Laci’s Great Escape (25 FPS – Green DCP award), fiction short Incendiary (ZFF 2021) and the documentary Thicket (ZagrebDox 2023). His short film Cut Grass (ZFF 2023 – Golden Pram for Best Croatian Short Film) premiered in competition at the International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen. He is a member of the Croatian Film Directors’ Guild (DHFR) and the organizational and selection team of the festival Filmska RUNDA.

INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM AND CHECKERS

Yulia Serdyukova

Yulia Serdyukova is a documentary film producer and curator, a member of the cinemovement Freefilmers and a co-founder of Filma. Feminist Film Festival. She is interested in producing and promoting works of independent filmmakers and grassroots initiatives that challenge colonial policies, capitalism, patriarchy and heteronormativity. Additionally, she often works as a local producer for European media on covering the Russian war against Ukraine.

INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM AND CHECKERS

Daniel Soares

Daniel Soares is a screenwriter, director and photographer. His short film O Que Resta (ZFF 2022 – Special Mention) screened at Telluride and Clermont-Ferrand, and won the Portuguese Best Short award at IndieLisboa. He is also the author of the short documentary Forgotten, which screened at festivals across the USA. His photographs were exhibited at the International Center of Photography in New York. He won the Golden Pram for Best International Short Film at ZFF in 2023. Daniel is currently developing his first feature film, 900 toneladas.

Together Again

Andrej Korovljev

Andrej Korovljev (1970, Pula) studied film directing at the University of Westminster in London. He was a long-time selector of the short film program for Motovun Film Festival. He has directed the documentary films The Years of Rust (2000) and Tusta (2019). His debut feature Hotel Pula opened the Pula Film Festival in 2023. He is a two-time winner of Porin and Oktavijan awards, as well as a member of the Croatian Film Directors’ Guild.

Hrvoje Osvadić

Hrvoje Osvadić embarked on his film industry career in 2000. In 2007, he became a co-owner and managing director of 15th Art Production (Petnaesta umjetnost), a Zagreb-based company specializing in film and TV production. He currently serves as the President of the Croatian Producers Association (HRUP) and is a European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE) producer. As of 2024, he is also a member of the European Film Academy (EFA). Hrvoje has produced over twenty-five films, encompassing both fiction and documentaries. 

Together Again

Klara Šovagović

Klara Šovagović was born in Zagreb in 1993. She graduated in French Language and Cultural Anthropology from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, as well as Editing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. She co-directed the film It’s Not Cold for Mosquitoes (2022), which won the Golden Pram for Best Croatian Short Film at ZFF 2022. She is currently editing several documentary films.

YOUNG JURY PLUS AWARD

Ema Fabian

 

Ema Fabian was born in Zagreb and is 19 years old. She is studying film and TV directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb and is currently in her second year. Before that, she attended the School of Graphics, Design And Media Production, specialising as a media technician. She has always been interested in films, and she is looking forward to participating in the Zagreb Film Festival as a Young Jury member.

YOUNG JURY PLUS AWARD

Jelena Jurić

 

Jelena Jurić (2008) attended Vrbani primary school (2014-2018), August Šenoa primary school (2018-2022) and the Rudolf Matz Primary Music School. She is currently a student of the Ivan Supek high school. Since 2001, she has participated in several workshops, including Frooom, Blank, and Filmska naSTAVa. She also volunteered at the Brač Film Festival.

YOUNG JURY PLUS AWARD

Marta Petraković

 

Marta Petraković (2006) was born in Zagreb. She is a high school student and in her free time, she volunteers at film festivals, motivated by her love of films and meeting new people (especially other movie lovers). She often spends her evenings watching movies with her dad, although they almost never agree in their impressions. She is looking forward to being part of the Young Jury because it will finally give her the opportunity to officially share her opinions. She is especially happy that young people like her will have the opportunity to be have a voice in evaluating the films about their own experiences.

CHILDREN'S JURY

Lota Szilvasy

 

Lota lives with her parents, two sisters and her dog Luna. She enjoys watching and making movies. One of her films has even screened at the Rab Film Festival. She is creative, likes to draw and write and is constantly shooting films. She attends an acting workshop, trains carate and enjoys playing and travel.

Alma Šarić

 

Alma has always loved watching movies and TV shows as they allow her the opportunity to dream, learn, and travel to different worlds. She attends an acting workshop at the Zagreb Youth Theatre and shoots short films on her phone, exploring different stories and styles. She enjoys creating and sharing her ideas with her friends.

CHILDREN'S JURY

Juraj Čarnohorski

 

Juraj wants to be an actor when he grows up. When he acts, he feels joy and exhiliration. He adores watching movies and thinks that a good film is real art. Juraj has already gained some acting experience, appearing in commercials and short films.
