            The protagonist’s life is upended when she awakens to the realisation that she is being rewarded for her youth and beauty. This conclusion plunges her even deeper into patriarchal beauty rituals, making her construct her identity and happiness around her appearance.

            Rosaliina Paavilainen

            Rosaliina Paavilainen (born 1993) is a visual artist and filmmaker with a primary focus on documentary and experimental cinema. In her works, she expands the questions established societal practices and norms, addressing topics such as family, relationships, and the body. Paavilainen graduated in 2022 with a Master’s degree in visual arts from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki.
