Maya Vitkova-Kosev is a screenwriter, director and producer. She lives and works between Sofia and Barcelona. She was the executive producer on Kamen Kalev’s Eastern Plays (2008), which premiered in the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes. She directed and produced two short films written by Radu Jude: Stanka Goes Home (2010) and My Tired Father (2011). Her debut film Viktoria (2014) was the first Bulgarian film shown to appear in competition at Sundance and Rotterdam.
