Sara is a young mother with a few more weeks at the hospital ahead of her, along with its slow routines and daily struggles. The film follows her long day on the psychiatric ward. Yoghurt, Juice, Cigarettes is Josip Lukić’s latest short, whose graduation film It’s Not Cold for Mosquitoes, co-directed with Klara Šovagović, was awarded the Golden Pram at ZFF 2022.
Josip Lukić (Split, 1984), graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Split, and then from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. His films have been awarded at numerous domestic and international festivals. To date, four of his films have screened in Checkers: It’s Not Cold for Mosquitoes (ZFF 2022 – Golden Pram; co. Klara Šovagović), Nine Months (ZFF 2020) Summer Fruits (ZFF 2019 – Special Mention) and Boo-boo Boo hoo hoo (ZFF 2015). His student films were awarded at Doclisboa, Sarajevo, Dokufest, Beldocs, Makedox, ZFF, Croatian Film Days, etc. He is currently preparing his debut feature film. He occasionally acts in films by domestic directors.
