For the second year running, the Riga International Film Festival proudly presents a selection of short films that embody the festival’s artistic DNA, promoting adventurousness, sensibility and diversity. The medium-length Sardine (RIFF – Special Mention 2022) and the super short Misaligned prove that length is not an indication of talent. Resistance is Futile and Purga are two very personal Baltic titles, the former an intimate story, while the latter offers a close-up of History with the capital H. Since this year we are also celebrating our 10^th anniversary, The Despair of Monkeys provides an excuse to reflect on what is considered past or legacy.
