Thirty-year-old Filipina caretaker Mairy cares for Michalis (85), who has arteriosclerosis and spends his days in front of the television, watching a soap opera in which the main character is named Anna. He develops an obsession with her, and begins calling Mairy by that name, despite his daughter’s objections.

Spiros Charalambous (1971) studied film in Athens. He has worked on various film productions in Greece and Cyprus, and has also directed for theatre and television. Both of his short films, Anna (2012) and Forever Young (2014), achieved notable success on the international festival circuit.
