The forecast is heavy rain. During a brief moment on the busy Xiaobei Street in Guangzhou, several people cross paths: a beauty salon worker recently abandoned by her husband, a queer dancer, and a young migrant trying to change his life.

Di Zhang is a Chinese director and screenwriter. She holds degrees from the Central Academy of Drama and the Beijing Film Academy, and is currently completing an MFA at the University of Southern California (USC). Her short film Drifting, South (2025) won the award for Best International Short Film in Riga.
