City planner Diego (Alberto Ammann – Narcos) and dancer Elena (Bruna Cusí – Summer 1993, ZFF 2017) arrive from Spain in the USA to build a new life in the land of opportunity. But upon arrival at the New York airport, border police take them to an interrogation room where they are subjected to endless and uncomfortable interrogation. The next few hours will test the limits of their mental endurance, while Diego’s anxious behaviour will hint that not everything is as it seems. This suspenseful drama screened at the SXSW festival and the San Sebastián IFF.

Alejandro Rojas, Juan Sebastián Vásquez

Alejandro Rojas (Caracas, 1976) has produced and edited TV programs and documentaries for the HBO Latin America Group and Telenet. As a journalist, he has covered numerous international film festivals (Cannes, Venice, Toronto, Sundance, Berlin), interviewing both highly-acclaimed and emerging artists. Upon Entry (2022) is his directorial fiction feature debut.

Juan Sebastián Vásquez (Caracas, 1981) is a Venezuelan director and cinematographer. He began his career as a copy-producer for the HBO Latin America Group. Since then, he was director of photography on feature films including Callback (2017), and a Netflix original, The Paramedic (2020). Upon Entry (2022) is his fiction feature debut.
