Escaping from a chicken farm, a hen takes refuge in the courtyard of a crumbling seaside restaurant in Greece. There, she discovers love, confronts the pecking order amongst her own kind, and does everything she can to protect her eggs from the greedy owner. Directed by Hungarian filmmaker György Pálfi (Taxidermia, ZFF 2006), Hen is an unusual and inspiring tale of survival that constantly teeters on the edge of the absurd and the horrifying, reflecting the tangled compromises and battles of contemporary life. The film received an Honorable Mention in the Platform program at the Toronto International Film Festival.
