Open Call: Audition as Networking Workshop

For the third consecutive year, Zagreb Film Festival, co-organized by Petit teatar and in cooperation with the Austrian Cultural Forum, invites professional actors and acting students to an exclusive casting workshop.

Audition as Networking is a professional programme that combines auditioning, education and professional networking, with the aim of connecting actors from the region with leading European casting directors and film professionals. This year’s edition will be led by two distinguished casting directors, Nicole Schmied and Anja Dihrberg-Siebler, who will meet and assess selected professional actors from Croatia and the wider region during the workshop.

Participants will learn about the casting process in the international market, what casting directors look for in actors, and how to better position themselves for European film and television projects. Selected participants will perform a short scene prepared in advance, after which the casting directors will provide practical feedback on their performance, choice of material and on-camera presentation.

The workshop will take place on Saturday, 14 November, from 10 am to 4 pm. Each mentor will work with their own group of participants. Places are limited, and participation is free of charge for all selected applicants.

The workshop will be conducted in English.

To apply, please send the following information to audicijakaonetworking@gmail.com:
