In collaboration with the Pula Film Festival, which launched the Author’s Room workshop program this year, we are bringing its second edition to ZFF. The new three-day program takes place during the festival and is dedicated to screenwriting for fiction film and television projects based on the concept of creative collaboration, or a writers’ room. Creative teams of at least two and at most three members, comprising a screenwriter, director, and producer, are invited to participate. The program is aimed at projects from Croatia, as well as regional projects with strong co-production potential with Croatia.
The workshop will be mentored by directors and screenwriters Goran Stanković and Vladimir Tagić. Their starting premise is that creating film and television projects inherently requires teamwork across all stages of development, along with an open exchange of ideas. This allows for the exploration of ideas from various perspectives, the deepening of character development and story structure, and the continuous testing of dramaturgical solutions.
