After becoming the target of a racist attack, young public prosecutor Seyo Kim decides to launch her own investigation and confront the perpetrators – but also the judicial system that turns a blind eye to right-wing extremism. As her determination turns into a personal vendetta, the line between justice and revenge grows increasingly blurred. Premiered in Berlin, where it won the Panorama Audience Award for Best Feature, the Heiner Carow Prize and the CICAE Arthouse Cinema Award, Faraz Shariat’s Prosecution blends courtroom drama and political thriller, confronting audiences with the uncomfortable truth about institutionalised violence and racism.
