Fifteen-year-old Antu and her classmates have been living in an occupied school for months. But as her mother’s birthday approaches, Antu must decide whether she wants to stay in the world she has created with her peers or return home. Having had its world premiere at Venice, Alba Gaviraghi’s short A Fortress is an evocative story about growing up, freedom, and belonging, inspired by the director’s personal experience.
