Vanina is a 39-year-old flying attendant working on a Boeing-737 passenger flight. In a somewhat belated attempt to finally get the perfect smile, she has put on braces that are now causing her trouble. But her real problem is something else entirely. Vanina must face her estranged mother, whose body lies in the plane’s cargo hold.

Thanasis Neofotistos

Tanasis Neofotistos is a director, writer and architect. He is a member of the European Film Academy and Head Programmer of the Student Int’l Competition at the Drama ISFF in Greece. His short films have been shown at festivals in Venice, Toronto, Locarno, Clermont-Ferrand and at Sundance.
