It is winter of 1942. On an uninhabited island chosen by Soviet authorities to deport thousands of residents from occupied countries, people face a daily struggle for survival. In the harsh, alien landscape, humans are a mere speck of existence. All the experiences portrayed in the film are based on the indelible memories of those who survived.

Gintarė Valevičiūtė-B.

Gintarė Valevičiūtė-B is an interdisciplinary artist. She completed her postgraduate studies in Art at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, where she currently teaches at the Department of Photography, Animation and Media Arts. Actively involved in creating, organising and curating various art projects and holds masterclasses on creativity. Her films and video projects have been shown and awarded at international festivals.

Antanas Skučas

Antanas Skučas is an animation artist, film director and artist. He teaches at the Vilnius Academy of Arts and holds workshops and masterclasses on creative animation technology. His animated films received recognitions at several festivals and he is the author of the award-winning music video Ragana A-A-A-A.
